Vinco Innovation is gearing up to host an event on October 3rd and 4th, with its central focus centered on facilitating knowledge exchange and advocating for the adoption of best practices within the CCUS sector, particularly in the context of waste facilities.
This gathering will prominently showcase Norway’s substantial expertise in CCUS, placing special emphasis on the pioneering Longship project. The Longship project stands as a groundbreaking industrial CCS initiative, renowned for establishing an open-access infrastructure capable of storing significant volumes of CO₂ sourced from various regions across Europe. Notably, representatives from the Hafslund Oslo Celsio plant, a carbon capture site within this project, will be in attendance. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Northern Lights site, serving as the receiving terminal near Bergen on the west coast of Norway, as well as the Energy Park of CCB Energy Holding, where companies are currently in the process of installing their first hydrogen production plant.
Throughout this event, esteemed industry experts hailing from both academic institutions (such as HVL and UiB), relevant companies as well as the mayor of Øygarden municipality, will be present to share their extensive knowledge and showcase the latest advancements within this field. This event offers a unique and unparalleled opportunity to engage with professionals who stand at the forefront of advancing technology that has the potential to play a pivotal role in helping us reach our climate targets.
The significance of this event for our CCS 4 Krakow project cannot be overstated, as it serves as a cornerstone for the remainder of our collaborative efforts. We anticipate that this event will offer invaluable insights for our partners from Krakow, who are traveling to join us in this endeavor.
